Ark Pottery was established by Vaughan and Angela Glanville who have been creating unusual pottery since the 1970's. They have been working in Devon at their present studio for nearly 30 years, each making original and distinctive contemporary ceramics. Over time they have developed new glaze techniques, in particular their signature "Craquelle” glazes which produce some intriguing and stunning surfaces, unique to each piece.

Shopping - Browse in the shop and gallery where you will find a huge selection of hand made pottery, made on site. Also cards and pictures.
Visitors are welcome to watch the potters whilst they make pots, sculptures and hand modelled animals. Questions can be asked about the craft in a friendly studio atmosphere.

Activities -Visitors can make their own pot, with expert guidance from the resident potter, Vaughan Glanville. We will glaze and fire your pot, and if necessary post it to you.

Tea/Coffee is served in the gallery, or in the cottage garden in fine weather.
